HOLLYWOOD — The Teletubbies are coming to the big screen.

The RPB Group, after rigorous negotiations with the BBC, is moving forward with a live-action film focusing on the origins of the iconic characters. The project, targeted for release in 2018, would mark the first big screen outing for the astro-turf dwelling aliens: Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, Po and their friend Noo-Noo.

Orange Ball Pictures former chief marketing officer Elizabeth Milillo is producing the new pic alongside Michael Gaskin, who produced the 2015 revival for the BBC.  Pierson Whewell, Augustus DelValle, William McKinley and Rainbow Lee are exec producing the film.
